RESUMEN

Noise pollution derived from motor vehicles, especially those with noisy engines, constitutes a significant challenge in urban environments, impacting quality of life and public health. In this context, the present study focuses on the implementation of an advanced technological solution: a web-based system specifically designed to monitor and manage noise pollution in Tarapoto, Peru. The execution of this project was structured in 4 key phases. The first phase involved extensive data collection and definition of the project scope. In the second phase, the system architecture was established based on initial observations. The third phase focussed on evaluating and improving system functionalities, while the fourth involved rigorous testing and corrections. The successful implementation of this system led to a significant improvement in the noise pollution monitoring process, reducing reporting times and improving data-driven decision making. This project not only provides a valuable tool for authorities in the management and mitigation of noise pollution, but also encourages community awareness and active participation in the sustainable management of the urban acoustic environment.

RESUMEN

The aim of this research was to determine the impact of the architecture of digital technologies in university teacher training as a catalyst for change and educational innovation. Methodologically, it is framed in a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design and an explanatory level, with a sample of 269 teachers out of a total population of 450 at the university. The results show a significant impact of the architecture of digital technologies as a catalyst for change in university teacher training, with an increase of 22.88% from pre-test to post-test. The statistical significance of the results is supported by a P-value of 0.000, which means that it is less than the established significance level (α = 0.05), leading to the acceptance of hypothesis H1: The architecture of digital technologies as a catalyst for change in university teacher education has an impact. In conclusion, the architecture of digital technologies, consisting of the two academic pillar systems: the academic management system and the virtual learning system, contribute to the development of digital skills in key areas such as digital literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation and problem solving in virtual environments.

RESUMEN

Introduction and importance: Nowadays, improving the performance of employees is essential to increase productivity and achieve continuous improvement; therefore, it is necessary to achieve job satisfaction among all members of the organisation to avoid negative attitudes, professional burnout, health problems and a lack of commitment. Therefore, our objective was to determine the level of burnout and its relationship with the level of job satisfaction among employees in the municipalities of southern Lima. Methods: The research is basic research, with a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional, nonexperimental, correlational design. The survey technique was used and the data collection instrument was a questionnaire addressed to 271 workers of the municipalities of South Lima on the variable burnout syndrome with the dimensions depersonalisation and emotional exhaustion, as well as on the variable job satisfaction with the dimensions work benefits, administrative policies and social relations, with a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.801. Results: The results show that 50.2% of the employees state that they have an overload of mental effort that causes a high level of emotional exhaustion, 50.2% state that the work develops in them negative and insensitive attitudes that increase their level of depersonalisation and 77.9% state that the company is unable to satisfy the personal demands of the employees through the work benefits it offers. Conclusions: These findings reflect that burnout is a common illness in organisations due to workload, poor organisational climate and neglect of employees' emotional health. Therefore, more research is needed on the role of organisations in reducing levels of occupational burnout in order to promote improvements in mental health.

RESUMEN

Virtual education has impacted the vision of people during the coronavirus pandemic, as by spending more time on the computer, it compromises the eye health of the person causing long-term visual problems. So the objective of this investigation is to assess computer-related ophthalmic syndrome in teachers of a University of the Province of Cañete. Methods: This is a quantitative, nonexperimental, descriptive, cross-sectional study on a total population of 63 teachers, who answered a digital survey using the sociodemographic data and the Computer Vision Syndrome Questionnaire. Clinical Discussion: From the results it can be observed that the results of computer ophthalmic syndrome in the university teachers of the province of Cañete, where 51 (81%) of the teachers do not present the computer vision syndrome and 12 (19%) presented with the computer vision syndrome. Conclusion: The population conducting virtual education as well as the students should be educated on the measures to be taken to prevent computer ophthalmic syndrome and its consequences.

RESUMEN

Background: Inventory management in educational institutions presents unique challenges due to the diverse sources of information and the need for improved team collaboration. This research aims to enhance inventory processes in educational institutions by leveraging information technology to optimize efficiency and ensure data integrity and reliability. Methods: The study employed a five-phase methodology to develop a web-based inventory optimization system. The initial phase involved a comprehensive analysis of inventory requirements, considering multiple data sources and team needs. Subsequently, in the planning phase, requirements were prioritized, and tasks with corresponding deadlines were established. The implementation phase adhered to the requirements outlined in the planning phase, utilizing appropriate information technologies to ensure efficient and reliable operation. A thorough system review was conducted to assess the achievement of each requirement's objectives, with necessary adjustments made as needed. Finally, following the completion of the previous phases, the developed software was deployed, and additional testing was conducted to ensure proper functionality. Results: Following the implementation of the web-based system, significant improvements were observed: an 85.51% increase in efficiency for goods searches, streamlining the process and reducing location times; a 90.31% enhancement in goods registration, ensuring greater accuracy and data reliability; an 83.11% improvement in annual goods report generation, simplifying reporting and offering a clearer view of the inventory. Overall, the inventory process experienced an 86.31% improvement, leading to enhanced efficiency and collaboration among administrative and teaching staff. The utilization of information technology reduced inventory processing times and ensured the uniqueness and reliability of information. Conclusions: This research focuses specifically on optimizing inventory management in educational institutions through information technology. The study's uniqueness lies in its tailored web-based system designed to address the specific needs of educational institutions. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach and its positive impact on inventory management.
